[(f)] (G) If THE DEBTOR IS DECEASED AND an adult
nonresident is entitled by descent or devise FROM THE DEBTOR to
any land or interest in land in the State, [and the person from
whom the land or interest descended, or by whom the same were
devised, was indebted to any person,] an attachment may issue
against [the] THAT land or interest [held by descent or devise
from the person indebted].

take effect July 1, 1983.

CHAPTER 226
(House Bill 605)
AN ACT concerning
Fire Fighters - Emergency Response Authority
FOR the purpose of allowing certain fire departments to have fire
fighters who are trained to act in emergency response
measures, including the use of certain helicopters or other
equipment with the approval of the Superintendent of the
Maryland State Police, at any location in this State;
providing for the scope of the measures; and allowing these
fire fighters or members of the Maryland State Police who
are trained under this Act to function at certain locations
if requested by a fire chief.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 38A - Fires and Investigations
38A.
(A) ANY FIRE DEPARTMENT IN THIS STATE MAY HAVE MEMBERS
TRAINED IN RESPONSE MEASURES INVOLVING FIRE AND OTHER EMERGENCY
TECHNIQUES. THESE MEASURES MAY INCLUDE, WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE
SUPERINTENDENT OF THE MARYLAND STATE POLICE, THE USE OF MARYLAND
STATE POLICE HELICOPTERS OR OTHER EQUIPMENT.
