(House Bill 467)
AN ACT concerning
Washington County - Alcoholic Beverages
FOR the purpose of providing that in Washington County licensees
may purchase a 1 day on-sale license for Sunday sale of
alcoholic beverages when New Year's Eve falls on a Sunday;
providing that a certain fee shall be paid for the license;
and generally relating to the Sunday sale of alcoholic
beverages in Washington County when New Year's Eve falls on
a Sunday.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
90.
(a) (1) No retail dealer holding a Class B or C license
shall be permitted to sell any alcoholic beverage at a bar or
counter on Sunday.
(b) (2) (iii) In Washington County this section:
1. Does not require the holder of any
Class A (off-sale) beer license to close his place of business on
Sunday provided the licensee shall close that part of his place
of business from which beer is sold;
