(2) (i) A doctorate in social work FROM AN ACCREDITED
COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY; and (ii) [Completed a graduate social work program
accredited by the Council on Social Work Education] 2 YEARS OF
SOCIAL WORK EXPERIENCE AFTER RECEIVING THE DOCTORATE AND UNDER
THE SUPERVISION OF A LICENSED CERTIFIED SOCIAL WORKER. (e)  Except as otherwise provided in this title, the
applicant shall pass an appropriate examination given by the
Board under this subtitle. (f)   In determining the qualifications of a license
applicant who applied for an original license before December 31,
1978, the Board shall recognize equivalent academic requirements
for subsections (b), (c), and (d)(1) of this section. The
equivalent academic requirements shall include degree programs
from accredited colleges or universities that have: (1)  Related academic curricula in areas other than
social work, including psychology and counseling; and (2)  As part of the degree program, field work
experience in the practice of social work in a licensed social
service agency. (g)   If the supervision required for a certified social
worker license under subsection (d)[(l)] of this section was not
available to the applicant while the applicant was obtaining the
required 2 years of experience, the Board may waive the
supervision requirement on the request of the applicant. 18-305. (a)   Subject to the provisions of this section, the Board
shall waive the examination requirements of this title for an
applicant who is licensed or registered to practice social work
in any other state. (b)  The Board may grant a waiver under this section only if
the applicant: (1)  Pays the application fee required by the Board
under § 18-303 of this subtitle; [and] (2)  Provides adequate evidence that the applicant: (i) Meets the qualifications otherwise required
by this title; and (ii) Became licensed or registered in the other
state after passing in that or any other state an examination
that is similar to the examination for which the applicant is
seeking the waiver; AND
