SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 41 - Governor - Executive and Administrative
Departments
85.
Except where otherwise provided by law, the Secretary of
State may charge all persons, firms, and corporations other than
bureaus, commissions, departments and officials of the State or
of political subdivisions thereof, [a fee of not exceeding one
NOT TO EXCEED $5 dollars ($1) for the authentication and
certification of a copy of any document paper or record in his
custody, he] SUCH REASONABLE FEE AS MAY BE ADOPTED BY REGULATION
FOR THE AUTHENTICATION AND CERTIFICATION OF A COPY OF ANY
DOCUMENT, PAPER, OR RECORD IN HIS CUSTODY. HE may charge in
addition thereto a fee of [fifty] 50 cents [(50¢)] per page when
no copy is furnished for certification.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1983.

CHAPTER 112
(Senate Bill 243)
AN ACT concerning
Nurses - University of Maryland
FOR the purpose of authorizing the University of Maryland Board
of Regents or its designee to institute special schedules
for nursing personnel assigned to positions in the medical
system of the Baltimore City campus; providing that certain
overtime compensation laws applicable to State employees
generally do not apply to these nurses nursing personnel;
and establishing a certain compensation rate for overtime
work.
