BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 21 - Procurement
Section 3-1001
Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 21 - Procurement
-4-3-1001.
(a) Within 90 days following the close of the fiscal year,
each department shall make an annual report to the Governor and,
subject to Article 40, § 51 of the Code, to the General Assembly
of contracts made under § 3-205 during that preceding fiscal
year. The report shall:
(1) Name each contractor;
(2) State the amount and type of each contract;
(3) Describe the supplies, services, and construction
procured; and
(4) Include copies of all determinations and findings
required to be made under this article and the regulations.
(4) DESCRIBE THE BASIS FOR THE NONCOMPETITIVE AWARD.
(b) Within 90 days following the close of the fiscal year,
each department shall make an annual report to the Governor and
the General Assembly of contracts for services which exceed
$100,000 during the preceding fiscal year. The report shall:
(1) Name each contractor;
(2) State the amount and type of each contract; AND
(3) Describe the personal services procured; and .
(4) Indicate the number of persons employed by the
contractor.
(c) The annual reports shall be retained for at least a
period of 3 years and shall be made available to the public only
as provided by the Public Information Act.]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1983.
