ENHANCING 911 systems and to present to the Secretary annually a
schedule for reimbursement[, including] AND AN ESTIMATE OF
funding requirements; [and]
[(8) To review the request for an. enhancement grant
made by any county or counties under the provisions of Section
204H-5 and if the Board approves the grant, to notify the
Secretary that moneys from the fund be disbursed.]
(8) TO REVIEW THE INSTALLATION, ENHANCEMENT,
MAINTENANCE, AND OPERATION INSTALLATION AND ENHANCEMENT OF 911
SYSTEMS; AND
(9) TO AUDIT COUNTY EXPENDITURES FOR THE OPERATION
AND MAINTENANCE OF 911 SYSTEMS.
[(i)] (H) [On or before January 1, 1980, and annually
thereafter, the Board shall submit a] THE BOARD SHALL SUBMIT AN
ANNUAL report to the Governor, the Secretary, and the Legislative
Policy Committee. The report shall set forth the following:
(1) The extent to which ["]911 systems["] currently
exist in Maryland;
(2) The estimated cost of installing a ["]911
system["] on a statewide basis;
(3) A schedule for installing a ["]911 system["] on a
statewide basis;
(4) The estimated cost of installing
["]enhancements["] to the ["]911 system]"];
(5) A plan for the administrative structure and the
financing of the structure to provide ["]public safety answering
points]"] to operate a ["]911 system]"] on a statewide basis; and
(6) Any suggested changes to this subtitle.
204H-4.
(a) [On or before July 1, 1983, any] ANY county or any
several counties together which seek funding for the installation
of a 911 system or enhancements to a system or any county or any
several counties together which seek reimbursement for the
installation of a 913. system or enhancements to a system shall
submit to the Board a 911 system plan for that county or
multicounty area. THE COUNTY OR THE SEVERAL COUNTIES SHALL
SUBMIT PLANS FOR INSTALLATION OF A 911 SYSTEM ON OR BEFORE JULY
1, 1983. The plan shall conform to the planning guidelines set by
the Board and shall be designed to meet the requirements of those
public safety agencies whose services are available through the
911 system. The plan shall include:
