204H-6. Nothing in this subtitle [shall be deemed to require]
REQUIRES a public service company to provide any equipment or
service other than pursuant to tariffs approved by the Maryland
Public Service Commission. Furthermore, the [furnishings]
FURNISHING of services, THE rates, and the extent of ANY
liabilities[, if any,] of a public service company shall be
governed by those tariffs approved by the Maryland Public Service
Commission. 204H-7. (a)   [Beginning with the fiscal year 1980, the] AS
RECOMMENDED BY THE BOARD, EACH YEAR THE Secretary shall [place in
the departmental budget on an annual basis sufficient funds]
REQUEST AN APPROPRIATION FROM THE 911 TRUST FUND IN AN AMOUNT
WHICH IS SUFFICIENT to carry out the purposes of this subtitle,
including administrative costs CHARGEABLE TO THE 911 TRUST FUND
and the [installation of] COSTS OF INSTALLING 911 systems in [the
counties as recommended by the Board] THOSE COUNTIES WHICH ARE
NOT OPERATING A 911 SYSTEM. (1)  Funds for the installation of 911 systems shall
include FUNDS FOR the installation of equipment FOR A 911 SYSTEM
as described in Section 204H-1(F)(5) OF THIS SUBTITLE, as well as
[service] MAINTENANCE and operating costs for the initial 12
months of operation. (2)   [Funds] EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN § 204H-8 OF THIS
SUBTITLE, FUNDS for the installation of 911 systems may not be
used for personnel necessary to operate the 911 system. (3)   Funds for the installation of 911 systems may not
be used for building construction, reconstruction, or renovation
purposes. [(4) For a county or multicounty area with a
population less than 100,000 persons, funds for the installation
of a 911 system may not exceed $50,000 per county. (5)   For a county or multicounty area with a
population between 100,000 and 250,000 people, funds for a 911
system may not exceed $250,000 per county. (6)   For a     county or multicounty area with a
population of more than 250,000 persons, funds for the
installation of a 911 system may not exceed $800,000 per
county.] (b)   [The] UPON THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE BOARD, EACH YEAR
THE Secretary shall [place in the annual departmental budget
sufficient funds] REQUEST AN APPROPRIATION FROM THE 911 TRUST
FUND IN AN AMOUNT WHICH IS SUFFICIENT to [reimburse] PROVIDE
