(8) Keeping a record of the progress of
apprenticeship and training programs initiated in accordance with
the provisions of this subtitle and informing the Council
periodically as to the results.] [55. All apprentice and training programs established under this
subtitle shall conform to the Code of Federal Regulations, Title
29, CFR, Part 30, and any subsequent applicable provisions. In
order to effectuate conformity with these provisions, a State
plan shall be drafted which will indicate in detail evidence of
consistency in the operation of the Maryland apprenticeship and
training law with Title 29, CFR, Part 30.] [56. In order to assure compliance with federal laws governing
wages, hours and working conditions, the Maryland Apprenticeship
and Training Council will request recognition of its standards
and activities by the Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training, U.S
Department of Labor, and if necessary, make such adjustments in
its standards and procedures as will assure conformity.] Article 95A - Unemployment Insurance Law 11. (a) [The administration of this article is hereby placed
under the direction and supervision of the Employment Security
Administration under a full-time salaried Executive Director and
a Board of Appeals as hereinafter constituted. The
administrative functions heretofore exercised by the Employment
Security Board, which Board is hereby abolished, except those
provided for by the second paragraph of §§ 7(c), 7(e), 7(f),
7(g), 7(h), 7(i), 15(a)(4), the second paragraph of § 15(b), §
15(c), and § 16(b) of this article from and after June 1, 1957,
shall be exercised by said Executive Director. Wherever within
this article the word "Board" appears, it shall be construed to
mean Executive Director except where the word "Board" appears in
§§ 7(c), 7(e), 7(f), 7(g), 7(h), 7(i), 15(a)(4), the second
paragraph of § 15(b), § 15(c), and § 16(b) of this article, it
shall be construed to mean Board of Appeals. When the word
"Board" appears in §§ 12(g)(1), 12(g)(2), 12(h), 12(i), 12(j) and
18(a), it shall be construed to mean both the Executive Director
and the Board of Appeals and they shall have equal and
independent authority to exercise the powers contained therein.] THIS ARTICLE SHALL BE ADMINISTERED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR, EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING, UNDER THE DIRECTION AND
SUPERVISION OF THE SECRETARY OF LABOR, EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING (HEREAFTER "SECRETARY") AND THE BOARD OF APPEALS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR, EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING AS SET FORTH HEREIN. WHEREVER IN THIS ARTICLE THE WORD "EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR" APPEARS, IT SHALL BE CONSTRUED TO MEAN THE SECRETARY  OF LABOR, EMPLOYMENT
