AN ACT concerning
Longevity Pay After a Promotion or Demotion
FOR the purpose of clarifying the Personnel Law to insure
that an employee who is promoted or demoted from the maximum
salary rate or a longevity step to the maximum salary rate or a
longevity step of another grade does not lose credit toward
longevity for those years already served.
BY repealing and reenacting with amendments:
SUBTITLE 16. PERSONNEL.
Sections 16-102(a)(3), 16-128, 16-130, 16-131(3), 16-132(b),
16-133(b), 16-136(b)(2), and 16-138
