coextensive with the term of the Board of County
Commissioners; designating the responsibilities of an
external auditor; providing that the County Auditor may
order the production of certain records and materials from
certain county agencies and groups; providing for the
publication of a Comprehensive Annual Financial Statement;
providing that certain information shall be included in the
Comprehensive Annual Financial Statement; providing that
copies of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Statement shall
be made available to the general public; and generally
relating to the appointment and responsibilities of the
County Auditor in Frederick County. BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, The Public Local Laws of Frederick County Section 2-7-66, 2-7-69, and 2-7-72 Article 11 - Public Local Laws of Maryland (1979 Edition and October 1982 Supplement, as amended) BY repealing The Public Local Laws of Frederick County

Section 2-7-68 Article 11 - Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1979 Edition and 1982 Supplement, as amended) SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: Article 11 - Frederick County 2-7-66. The board of county commissioners shall, on or before the
first day of [July] APRIL appoint a certified public accountant,
duly licensed under the laws of the State, of good standing and
experienced in auditing, who shall be designated as the EXTERNAL
auditor for the county and who shall [hold office for one year
from the date of appointment] SERVE AT THE PLEASURE OF THE BOARD
OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS FOR A PERIOD COEXTENSIVE WITH THE TERM OF
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS. [The board of county
commissioners shall fill any vacancies that may occur in such
office within ten (10) days after the same is known to exist. The
auditor so appointed shall, before entering upon the discharge of
