SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That if any provision
of this Act or the application thereof to any person or
circumstance is held invalid for any reason, the invalidity shall
not affect the other provisions or any other application of this
Act which can be given effect without the invalid provisions or
application, and to this end all the provisions of this Act are
declared to be severable.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1983.

CHAPTER 610
(House Bill 524)
AN ACT concerning
Election Laws - Polling Place - Posting Signs
FOR the purpose of requiring election judges to post signs at
polling places to mark areas where canvassing,
electioneering, or posting campaign literature may not
occur; providing that the chief judges at each polling place
shall post signs at a convenient location prohibiting
election signs within a 100 foot radius of the entrance and
exit to a polling place.
FOR the purpose of providing that certain election judges at each
polling place shall post signs establishing limits inside
which certain electioneering activities are prohibited;
providing for certain discretion and guidelines in the
placement of the signs; specifying certain requirements
regarding the text of the signs; and generally relating to
electioneering at polling places.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
