477P. Every insurer which proposes to issue a group or blanket
health insurance policy which provides any benefits for temporary
disability shall offer the prospective group policyholder the
option of providing benefits for temporary disability caused or
contributed to by pregnancy or childbirth. These benefits shall
be provided to the same extent and on the same terms as benefits
applied to any other covered disability [except that benefits for
disabilities caused by a normal pregnancy or normal childbirth
may be limited to six weeks or more]. This section applies to
all policies which are issued or delivered within this State or
which are issued or delivered to any entity which is incorporated
or has a main office located in this State or which cover any
persons who reside or work within this State.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1983. Approved May 31, 1983.
CHAPTER 566 (House Bill 296) AN ACT concerning Sediment Control - Remedies FOR the purpose of providing that a person who fails to install
or maintain erosion and sediment controls in accordance with
an approved plan shall be liable to the county,
municipality, or State in a civil action for certain treble
damages; providing that monetary recoveries under this Act
shall be deposited in a special fund for certain purposes;
and and providing that if a county or municipality fails to
enforce any provision of this Act, the Department of Natural
Resources may request the Attorney General to take certain action; and providing that this Act shall terminate automatically at a certain date. BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, Article - Natural Resources Section 8-1108 Annotated Code of Maryland (1974 Volume and 1982 Supplement)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
