AN ACT concerning

Health Clubs - Licensing and Regulation Registration
and Bonding
FOR the purpose of providing for the licensing and regulation
registration of health clubs; creating a State Board of
Regulation of Health Clubs; providing for a bond for the
sale of future services concerning health clubs; defining
certain terms; providing certain penalties; requiring a
member of the board of directors of a health club to be a
resident of a county where the health club is located and to
serve as a resident agent for purposes of legal process;
authorizing the Division to bring legal action to enforce
the provisions of this Act; altering the bond requirement
under existing law; permitting a buyer of health club
services to cancel the agreement under certain
circumstances; and generally relating to the licensing and
regulation of health clubs.
BY adding to
Article 56 - Licenses
Section 128 through 130, and 130A through 130E-130F,
inclusive, to be under the new subtitle "Health
Clubs"
