1718 LAWS OF MARYLAND Ch. 542
(E) SAME -- APPLICATIONS. TO APPLY FOR APPROVAL OF A SUBDIVISION PLAT, AN APPLICANT
SHALL: (1)   SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO THE APPROPRIATE STATE OR
LOCAL AUTHORITY ON THE FORM THAT THE AUTHORITY REQUIRES; AND (2)  PROVIDE ANY INFORMATION THAT THE AUTHORITY
REASONABLY REQUIRES TO COMPLY WITH SUBSECTION (D) OF THIS
SECTION. REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from former HE § 9-512(a)
and (b). Throughout this section, "water supply system" and
"sewerage system" are substituted for the former
phrase "individual or community water supply or
sewerage systems" to conform to § 9-510(b)(2) of this
subtitle. This substitution conforms to the
administrative practice of the Department, which
specifically includes multiuse water supply systems
and multiuse sewerage systems under the provisions of
this section. No change of substance is intended.
This substitution is brought to the attention of the
General Assembly. 9-513. EXCEPTIONS TO COUNTY PLAN IN BALTIMORE COUNTY AND CARROLL
COUNTY. IN BALTIMORE COUNTY OR CARROLL COUNTY, THE COUNTY GOVERNING
BODY APPROVING AUTHORITY MAY GRANT AN EXCEPTION TO THE COUNTY
PLAN THAT ALLOWS A PERSON TO INSTALL AN INDIVIDUAL WATER SUPPLY
SYSTEM OR AN INDIVIDUAL SEWERAGE SYSTEM FOR AN INDIVIDUAL
RESIDENCE IF THE SECRETARY OR A DESIGNEE OF THE SECRETARY: (1)  FINDS THAT THIS EXCEPTION TO THE COUNTY PLAN IS
JUSTIFIED AND NECESSARY TO ALLEVIATE EXTREME HARDSHIP; AND (2)  APPROVES THE EXCEPTION TO THE COUNTY PLAN. REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the second sentence of
former HE § 9-511(b). The term "county governing body" is substituted for "approving authority" since a county governing body must approve the proposed county plan before it is submitted to the Department. No substantive change is
intended by this substitution. 9-514. EXCEPTIONS TO COUNTY PLAN IN HARFORD COUNTY.
