(2) SERVES A NUMBER OF INDIVIDUALS.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language derived
without substantive change from former HE § 9-501(k).
The former clause "a single system of piping, pumps,
tanks, or other facilities utilizing a source of
ground or surface water" is deleted as included in the
defined term "water supply system". The former phrase
"to supply ... a single lot" is deleted as included
in the defined term "individual water supply system".
(K) PROPOSED COUNTY PLAN.
(1) "PROPOSED COUNTY PLAN" MEANS A COUNTY PLAN THAT:
(I) HAS BEEN ADOPTED BY THE COUNTY GOVERNING

|
|
BODY; AND
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
(II) HAS NOT BEEN APPROVED BY THE DEPARTMENT.

|
|
|
|
|
(2) "PROPOSED COUNTY PLAN" INCLUDES ANY PROPOSED
AMENDMENT OR REVISION OF THE COUNTY PLAN.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added to
clarify that a county plan is only "proposed" by a
county governing body before the county plan is
approved by the Department. No change in substance is
intended. See § 9-506 of this subtitle.
(L) SEWAGE.
"SEWAGE" MEANS ANY HUMAN OR ANIMAL EXCRETION, STREET WASH,
DOMESTIC WASTE, OR INDUSTRIAL WASTE.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language derived
without substantive change from former HE § 9-501(m).
The term "industrial waste" is substituted for the
former term "manufacturing waste" for consistency with
other references in this subtitle to that type of
waste.
(M) SEWERAGE SYSTEM.
(1) "SEWERAGE SYSTEM" MEANS:
(I) THE CHANNELS USED OR INTENDED TO BE USED TO
COLLECT AND DISPOSE OF SEWAGE; AND
(II) ANY STRUCTURE AND APPURTENANCE USED OR
INTENDED TO BE USED TO COLLECT OR PREPARE SEWAGE FOR DISCHARGE
INTO THE WATERS OF THIS STATE.
