SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 95 - Treasurer
22H.
NOTWITHSTANDING ANY PROVISIONS OF LAW TO THE CONTRARY OR ANY
LIMITATION OR RESTRICTION CONTAINED IN ANY OTHER LAW, THE
TREASURER OF HARFORD COUNTY MAY INVEST, REDEEM, SELL, EXCHANGE,
AND REINVEST IN BANKERS' ACCEPTANCES UP TO 50 PERCENT OF
UNEXPENDED OR SURPLUS MONEYS, IN FROM ANY FUND OR ACCOUNT OF
WHICH HE THE TREASURER HAS CUSTODY OR CONTROL, IN BANKERS'
ACCEPTANCES.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1983.

(House Bill 1431)
AN ACT concerning
Memorial Stadium Seating and Field
Facilities Loan of 1980
FOR the purpose of amending Chapter 529 of the Acts of 1980, as
amended by Chapter 552 of the Acts of 1982, to reduce the
amount of the loan authorized and associated deduction
calculations; to revise certain provisions relating to
agreements with professional sports organizations; providing
that payment of certain amounts of the funds authorized by
this Act are contingent upon certain conditions; extending
the time within which the loan project must be placed under
approved contract or certain funds must be allocated; and
generally relating to the Memorial Stadium Seating and Field
Facilities Loan of 1980, as amended.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Chapter 529 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1980, as
amended by Chapter 552 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of 1982
