AN ACT concerning
Child Protection
FOR the purpose of expanding the definition of "neglected child"
to include one who is in potential danger; authorizing any
person to report suspected child neglect; deleting certain
exemptions from the reporting requirement; protecting
certain persons from civil liability, or criminal penalty
for reporting suspected child neglect; clarifying the
requirements regarding the confidentiality of child
protection records and reports; expanding the scope of the
child abuse statute to include children who are in potential
danger; and generally relating to child neglect and child
abuse.
