|
State, and procurement therefrom is required by the provisions of
any other section of this article or of any other law of this
State, procurement of the supplies shall be made in accordance
with the other provisions of law.
(2) IF SUITABLE SUPPLIES OR SERVICES ARE NOT
AVAILABLE FOR PROCUREMENT FROM ANY DEPARTMENT OR AGENCY OF THE
STATE UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF PARAGRAPH (1) OF THIS SUBSECTION,
THE PRICING AND SELECTION COMMITTEE SHALL DETERMINE WHETHER THE
SUPPLIES OR SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE FOR PROCUREMENT FROM AN
ELIGIBLE SHELTERED WORKSHOP.
8-202.
(A) The State and all state-aided, owned, controlled, or
managed public or quasi-public institutions and agencies shall:
(1) [purchase] PURCHASE from Blind Industries and
Services those supplies or services not supplied by the
Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services; AND
(2) PURCHASE FROM SHELTERED WORKSHOPS THOSE SUPPLIES
OR SERVICES NOT SUPPLIED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY AND
CORRECTIONAL SERVICES OR BLIND INDUSTRIES.
(B) Blind Industries shall send a list of supplies and
services supplied by it to the Secretary of the Department of
General Services, and to all persons responsible for purchasing
for the above-mentioned institutions.
(1) This list of supplies and services shall be
revised semiannually.
(2) The price of supplies purchased from Blind
Industries and Services shall be set by the pricing committee for
Blind Industries and Services.
(C) (1) THE PRICING AND SELECTION COMMITTEE FOR SHELTERED
WORKSHOPS SHALL SEND A LIST OF SUPPLIES AND SERVICES AVAILABLE
FROM SHELTERED WORKSHOPS TO THE SECRETARY OF THE DEPARTMENT OF
GENERAL SERVICES, AND TO ALL PERSONS RESPONSIBLE FOR PURCHASING
FOR THE ABOVE-MENTIONED INSTITUTIONS.
(2) THIS LIST OF SUPPLIES AND SERVICES SHALL BE
REVISED PERIODICALLY.
(3) THE PRICE OF SUPPLIES PURCHASED FROM SHELTERED
WORKSHOPS SHALL BE SET BY THE PRICING AND SELECTION COMMITTEE FOR
SHELTERED WORKSHOPS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1983.
