Council, calculated as aforesaid, and shall pay such share to The
Council in no less than quarterly installments in the year for
which such local budget is adopted. (E) NOTWITHSTANDING THE FOREGOING PROVISIONS, THE FOLLOWING
SHALL APPLY TO THE CITY OF ANNAPOLIS: (1) ON OR BEFORE APRIL 15 OF EACH YEAR, THE COUNCIL SHALL FORWARD TO THE CITY OF ANNAPOLIS A COPY OF THE CERTIFICATION OF THE PORTION OF THE BUDGET OF THE COUNCIL PAYABLE
BY THE GOVERNMENT OF ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY. (2) THE PORTION OF THE BUDGET OF THE COUNCIL PAYABLE
BY THE CITY OF ANNAPOLIS SHALL BE ONE-THIRD (1/3) OF THE PORTION
OF ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY'S PORTION WHICH IS IN THE SAME RATIO THAT
ASSESSED VALUE OF ALL REAL PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF ANNAPOLIS FOR
THE PRECEDING YEAR BEARS TO THE ASSESSED VALUE OF ALL THE REAL
PROPERTY IN ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY. (3) FOLLOWING THE RECEIPT OF THE COPY OF SUCH CERTIFICATION; THE CITY OF ANNAPOLIS SHALL, IN ITS NEXT SUCCEEDING ANNUAL APPROPRIATION FOR SUPPORT OF ITS GOVERNMENT,
MAKE PROVISION FROM LOCAL REVENUES FOR ITS SHARE OF THE BUDGET OF
THE COUNCIL, CALCULATED AS AFORESAID, AND SHALL PAY SUCH SHARE TO
THE COUNCIL IN FULL NO LATER THAN THE FIRST DAY OF JANUARY IN THE
YEAR FOR WHICH THE LOCAL BUDGET IS ADOPTED. (4) THE PORTION OF THE ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY SHARE
PAYABLE BY THE CITY OF ANNAPOLIS SHALL BE IN SUBSTITUTION OF AND
NOT IN ADDITION TO PAYMENT OF THAT AMOUNT BY THE GOVERNMENT OF
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1983. Approved May 24, 1983.
