Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission -
Commissioners' Compensation
MC/PG 19-83
FOR the purpose of authorizing certain emoluments for
commissioners of the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission
while serving in office; and providing that this Act does
not apply to incumbents.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 67 - Washington Suburban Sanitary District
Section l-105(a)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 67 - Washington Suburban Sanitary District
1-105.
(a) (1) The members of the WSSC shall receive the following
salaries:
(i) Chairman...........................$10,500.
(ii) Vice-Chairman.....................$10,300.
(iii) Commissioners....................$10,000.
(2) The salary shall be paid every 2 weeks.
(3) WHILE HOLDING OFFICE, COMMISSIONERS MAY
PARTICIPATE IN ANY WSSC PROGRAM OF GROUP HEALTH, LIFE, AND
DISABILITY INSURANCE TO THE SAME EXTENT AND UNDER THE SAME TERMS
AS WSSC OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the provisions
of this Act concerning insurance coverage for Commissioners may
not be construed to extend or apply to the members of the
Commission in office on July 1, 1983 the effective date of this
Act, but those provisions of the Act shall take effect at the
beginning of the next following term of office of any incumbent.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July June 1, 1983.
