SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1983. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this
Act is hereby declared to be an emergency measure and necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public health and safety
and having been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by
three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the two Houses
of the General Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date
of its passage.

CHAPTER 408
(House Bill 184)
AN ACT concerning
Estates and Trusts - Wills - Lapse
FOR the purpose of applying the lapse provision in the estates of
decedents law to testators who die on or after a certain
date, rather than to wills executed on or after a certain
date providing an exception to certain provisions regarding
the application of certain laws to wills executed before
January 1, 1970 to provide that a certain anti-lapse
provision applies to the legacy of any testator who dies on
or after a certain date.
