HARRY HUGHES, Governor
requiring certain governmental agencies to act promptly to
remedy certain problems brought to their attention;
repealing a requirement as to venue in certain cases
involving children in need of assistance and children in
need of supervision; requiring the Secretary of Health and
Mental Hygiene to provide in certain rules and regulations
for adult supervision of group homes for the mentally
retarded; providing for the expiration of teachers' licenses
to practice dentistry or dental hygiene on a date set by the
Board or at the end of an additional renewal term; providing
for certain duties and liabilities of hunters and property
owners, in certain counties, for property damage or
accidental injury or damage to hunter; providing that
damage to or removal of various types of landmarks set by
civil engineers, surveyors, real estate appraisers, or any
of their assistants is a misdemeanor, and subject to a
penalty; authorizing the Board of County Commissioners of
Somerset County to sell, lease, convey, assign, or otherwise
transfer the Fairmount Academy property to the Fairmount
Academy Historical Association, Inc., providing that the
Fairmount Academy property shall be dedicated to the
collection and preservation of genealogical and historical
material, and providing that upon dissolution of the
Association that property shall revert to Somerset County;
requiring the Secretary of Health and Mental Hygiene to
report to the legislative leadership recommendations for
Medicaid reimbursement to certain institutions; and
generally adding, repealing, and repealing and reenacting
without amendments certain Acts of the General Assembly that
may be subject to possible title defects in order to
validate those Acts. BY repealing and reenacting, without amendments, Article 25 - County Commissioners Section 11D(e)(l) Annotated Code of Maryland (1981 Replacement Volume and 1982 Supplement)
BY repealing and reenacting, without amendments, Article 78A - Public Works Section 57A(e) Annotated Code of Maryland (1980 Replacement Volume and 1982 Supplement)
BY repealing Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings Section 3-808(a) Annotated Code of Maryland (1980 Replacement Volume and 1982 Supplement)
