AN ACT concerning
Historic Motor Vehicles - Vintage
Registration Plates
FOR the purpose of permitting the Motor Vehicle Administration to
authorize the display of vintage registration plates in lieu
of current registration plates on certain vehicles under
certain circumstances; requiring vintage registration plates
to be displayed in a certain manner under certain
circumstances; permitting the owner of a certain vehicle to
display vintages registration plates in lieu of current
registration plates under certain circumstances; prescribing
the number of vintage registration plates that shall be
displayed on certain vehicles; providing that certain
vintage registration plates shall remain valid for a certain
length of time; providing that a certain fee is not required
for the display of vintage registration plates under certain
circumstances; defining a certain term; and generally
relating to the issuance and display of vintage registration
plates.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article - Transportation
13-411.
(e) (1) A vehicle registered as an historic or antique
vehicle (Class L) in this State or in another state, when used or
driven in this State, may [also] display vintage registration
plates as an indication of the historic or antique nature of the
vehicle. [However] EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN PARAGRAPH (2) OF THIS
