AN ACT concerning
Property Tax Assessment Appeal Board -
Rate of Compensation
FOR the purpose of altering the rate of compensation for regular
and alternate members of the property tax assessment appeal
board.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 81 - Revenue and Taxes
Section 248(d)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 81 - Revenue and Taxes
248.
(d) Each regular member and alternate member of the
property tax assessment appeal board shall receive compensation
as provided in the State budget at the rate of [$15] $20 per
hour, but not in excess of [$90] $120 for each day or part
thereof spent in hearing protests or in executive session. Each
regular and alternate member also shall be reimbursed for
expenses incurred in the performance of his duties in accordance
with the standard travel regulations.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1983.
