House Bill 281 was passed by the General Assembly and
signed by me on May 20, 1982. For this reason, I have
decided to veto House Bill 1114.

AN ACT concerning

Washington County -
Board of Education - Election Procedures
FOR the purpose of repealing certain procedures for the
nomination by petition and election of members of the
Board of Education of Washington County by petition;
providing certain procedures for the nomination and
election of the members of the Board; providing for the
qualifications and certification of candidates;
providing for primary and general elections procedures;
providing for the death, disqualification, or
withdrawal of candidates; and generally relating to the
nomination and election of Washington County Board of
Education members; and making this Act subject to a
certain contingency.
