Dear Mr. Speaker:
In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill 942.
This bill alters the salaries of the judges of the
Orphans' Court for Baltimore County and establishes that
these salary alterations does not affect the incumbent
judges.
Senate Bill 464, which was passed by the General
Assembly and signed by me on June 1, 1982, accomplishes the
same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign
House Bill 942.

AN ACT concerning
Baltimore County - Orphans' Court -
Salaries of Judges and Bailiffs
FOR the purpose of altering the salaries of the judges of
the Orphans' Court for Baltimore County and
establishing that these salary alterations do not
affect the incumbent judges; establishing the hours of
the Orphans' Court; and providing a minimum salary base
