In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill 845.
This bill provides for the use of funding for group
homes for developmentally disabled individuals.
Senate Bill 675, which was passed by the General
Assembly and signed by me on June 1, 1982, accomplishes the
same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign
House Bill 845.

AN ACT concerning
Autistic Adults - Group Homes - Funding
Group Homes - Developmentally Disabled Individuals
FOR the purpose of requiring the Governor to include in the
annual budget a certain amount of money for the
operation of private group homes for autistic adults;
prohibiting funding for certain group homes; defining a
certain term; providing for a certain definition; and
generally relating to the funding of certain group
homes for autistic adults providing for use of certain
funding for certain group homes for certain
developmentally disabled individuals.
