This bill provides for an income tax deduction for
certain transportation expenses incurred by volunteers.
House Bill 342, which was passed by the General
Assembly and signed by me on April 13, 1982, accomplishes
the same purpose. Therefore it is not necessary for me to
sign Senate Bill 145.

AN ACT concerning
Income Taxes - Deduction - Volunteer Expenses
FOR the purpose of continuing the income tax deduction for
certain unreimbursed automobile travel expenses
incurred by certain volunteers; and clarifying
language.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 81 - Revenue and Taxes
Section 280(c)(12)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1980 Replacement Volume and 1981 Supplement)
The President put the question: Shall the Bill pass,
notwithstanding the objections of the Executive
