(II) ANY FEDERAL RETURN, FEDERAL RETURN
INFORMATION, OR COPIES OF A FEDERAL RETURN OR RETURN
INFORMATION REQUIRED PURSUANT TO ANY PROVISION OF MARYLAND
LAW TO BE ATTACHED TO OR INCLUDED IN ANY APPLICATION OR
STATE RETURN.

(3) ANY PERSON WHO VIOLATES THE PROVISIONS OF
THIS SECTION IS GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR AND SHALL BE
PUNISHABLE BY A FINE NOT EXCEEDING $1,000 OR IMPRISONMENT
FOR NOT MORE THAN 6 MONTHS, OR BOTH.

[(2)) (4) The Comptroller shall cooperate with
the Department in the establishment of a procedure for
auditing the application forms for the purposes of income
verification, and the Comptroller shall assist the
Department by performing the audit upon receipt of the
applications. Also, despite any provisions of Section 300
of this article, the Comptroller shall supply to the
Department additional information to aid verification of
income as stated in the application.

[(3)] (5) Upon completion of the audit the
Comptroller, shall forward the applications to the Department
for processing.

(c) The provisions of this section do not apply to
Queen Anne's [counties] COUNTY.

465.

For the taxable year beginning January 1, 1975 and each
taxable year thereafter, every individual, other than a
nonresident alien, filing personal State income tax returns
may designate by a check-off system that he will pay $2 in
addition to the income tax paid during the taxable year
which shall be credited to the Fair Campaign Financing Fund
established by [§ 26-8] § 31-4 of Article 33. This tax shall
be known as the fair campaign financing contribution and the
form of tax return shall indicate clearly that no
endorsement of any party or candidate is required or
implied, and no tax incurred or avoided, either by allowing
or prohibiting payment over to the fund.

The local unit may pay the reasonable funeral expenses,
not to exceed $400, of children receiving foster care under
the Administration's foster care program and recipients of
aid to families with dependent children, general public
assistance, public assistance to adults, and on and after
January 1, 1974 all Maryland recipients of assistance
