LAWS OF MARYLAND
Ch. 21
of that entity, "Maryland Nursing Home
Association, Inc."
Subsection (a)(2)(iv) of this section is revised
to reflect that this one member is both a nursing
home owner or administrator and a nominee of the
Health Facilities Association of Maryland. When
Ch. 714, Acts of 1975 amended former Article 43,
§ 564, the word "one" was inserted immediately
before the phrase "who shall be appointed from a
list of names submitted by the Maryland Nursing
Home Association, Inc." However, this addition
to the statute was not noted by capitalization,
underscoring, or other indication. Therefore the
addition appears to be only an error and not to
be an increase in the authorized membership of
the Board.
Also in subsection (a)(2)(iv) of this section,
the reference to a "related institution that is
classified as a nursing home" is substituted for
the reference to a "licensed nursing home", to
conform to other references in this subtitle. As
to classifications of related institutions, see §
19-308 of this subtitle.
In subsection (a)(2)(v) of this section,
reference to the "Maryland Hospital Association,
Inc." is substituted for the obsolete name of
that entity, "Hospital Council of Maryland, Inc."
The Commission to Revise the Annotated Code
notes, for consideration by the General Assembly,
that there is no express provision for selection
of Board officers.
Defined terms: "Board" § 19-301
"County" § 1-101 "Related institution" § 19-301
