THE DEPARTMENT SHALL HAVE A PROPERLY EQUIPPED PUBLIC
HEALTH AND CLINICAL LABORATORY IN EACH OF THE FOLLOWING
AREAS:

(1)	ANNAPOLIS;
(2)	CAMBRIDGE;
(3)	CHEVERLY;
(4)	EASTON;
(5)	FREDERICK;
(6)	ROCKVILLE; AND
(7)	SALISBURY.

(B) ADDITIONAL LABORATORIES.

THE DEPARTMENT MAY HAVE A PUBLIC HEALTH AND CLINICAL
LABORATORY IN ANY OTHER AREA THAT THE DEPARTMENT CONSIDERS
NECESSARY.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language patterned
after the first sentence of Article 43, §
35(a)(2), except for the first phrase of that
sentence.

In subsection (b) of this section, the defined
term "Department" is substituted for the obsolete
references to the former Board of Health.
Although, under former Article 43, § 1H,
references to the "Board" meant the Secretary,
the term "Department" is used for consistency
with subsection (a) of this section.

17-102. DUTIES OF PUBLIC LABORATORIES.

A PUBLIC HEALTH AND CLINICAL LABORATORY SHALL PROVIDE
SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH:

(1)  ANY INQUIRY THAT THE DEPARTMENT OR ANY
HEALTH OFFICER OR PHYSICIAN MAKES ABOUT A COMMUNICABLE
DISEASE;

(2)  ANY INQUIRY THAT THE DEPARTMENT MAKES ABOUT
SEWAGE;

(3)  ANY INQUIRY THAT THE DEPARTMENT MAKES ABOUT
A TRADE WASTE;

(4) ANY INQUIRY THE DEPARTMENT MAKES ABOUT A
