charges a standard $10 fee for the licenses that the
Division issues. At this time, the county health
departments do not charge any license fee.

TITLE 15. ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS.
15-101. DEFINITIONS.

(A)   IN GENERAL.

IN THIS TITLE THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS
INDICATED.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language used as
the standard introductory language to a
definition section.

(B)  PROGRAM.

"PROGRAM" MEANS THE MARYLAND MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
PROGRAM.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added
to avoid repetition of the full title "Maryland
Medical Assistance Program".

(C)  PROGRAM RECIPIENT.

"PROGRAM RECIPIENT" MEANS AN INDIVIDUAL WHO RECEIVES

BENEFITS UNDER THE PROGRAM.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added
to provide a standard reference to describe
recipients under the Program and is substituted
for phrases such as "patient under the Maryland
Medical Assistance Program", "medical assistance
recipients", "recipients", and eligible "persons"
and "recipients".

15-102. INDIGENT AND MEDICALLY INDIGENT -- PREVENTIVE
SERVICES AND HOME CARE.

THE DEPARTMENT SHALL PROVIDE PREVENTIVE AND HOME CARE
SERVICES FOR INDIGENT AND MEDICALLY INDIGENT INDIVIDUALS.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the third clause
of former Article 43, § 1B.

The former reference to "medical hospital" is
deleted as unnecessary in light of the
requirements for the Maryland Medical Assistance
Program under § 15-103 of this title.
