Subsection (c) of this section formerly appeared
as the fifth sentence of Article 43, § 782(b).

Subsection (d) of this section formerly appeared
as the first sentence of Article 43, § 786.

In subsection (b) of this section, the phrase "at
the times and places that it determines" is added
for clarity.

Also in subsection (b) of this section, the word
"full", which formerly modified "Commission" is
deleted as inconsistent with the quorum provision
in subsection (a) of this section.

In subsection (c) of this section, the reference
to reimbursement for expenses "incurred in
carrying out their responsibilities as members of
the Commission" is deleted as unnecessary in
light of the reference to the Standard State
Travel Regulations. Standard State Travel
Regulations are adopted by the Department of
Personnel with the approval of the Board of
Public Works.

The only other changes are in style.

The third sentence of former Article 43, §
782(e), which stated that a majority of members
present may make decisions, is deleted as
unnecessary.

13-306. MISCELLANEOUS POWERS AND DUTIES.

(A)  EDUCATION PROGRAMS.
THE COMMISSION:

(1)  SHALL INSTITUTE AND SUPERVISE EDUCATION
PROGRAMS FOR HEALTH PROVIDERS AND THE PUBLIC ON THE
PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE; AND

(2)  MAY USE EXISTING PROGRAMS AND GROUPS FOR

THIS PURPOSE.

(B)  EVALUATION; REPORT.

THE COMMISSION SHALL:

(1) EVALUATE ANNUALLY THE KIDNEY DISEASE PROGRAM
UNDER THIS SUBTITLE; AND
