10-913. APPROPRIATIONS.

THE DEPARTMENT SHALL REQUEST BUDGET SUPPORT THAT IS
SUFFICIENT TO ESTABLISH AND OPERATE THE PROGRAM.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from former Article
59, § 74.

The phrase "shall request budget support" is
substituted for "shall be included in the annual
State budget" to reflect that the Governor and
the General Assembly determine the amount of
funds received.

The defined term "program" is substituted for
"the comprehensive program of outpatient mental
hygiene care and treatment for hearing impaired
children, adults, and their families", for
brevity.

10-914. TERMINATION OF PART.

PART II OF THIS SUBTITLE AND ALL RULES AND REGULATIONS
ADOPTED UNDER PART II OF THIS SUBTITLE SHALL TERMINATE AND
BE OF NO EFFECT AFTER JUNE 1, 1984.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from former Article
59, § 75(b).

The former language "unless reenacted by the
General Assembly" is deleted as unnecessary.

10-917. EMPLOYEES AS LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS.

THE ADMINISTRATIVE HEAD OF ANY FACILITY MAY APPOINT  ANY

EMPLOYEE AS A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER AND, WHILE    THE

EMPLOYEE HOLDS A SPECIAL POLICE COMMISSION ISSUED BY    THE
GOVERNOR, THE EMPLOYEE MAY:
