Subsection (a)(6) of this section, which is
derived from the minimum requirements for rules
and regulations in former Article 59, § 62(4), is
revised here as a statutory requirement, to avoid
unnecessary repetition , in the rules and
regulations.

Former Article 59, § 65(3), which referred to a
"public group home of a similar nature", is
deleted since there are no public group homes and
establishment of those homes is not expected.

Former Article 59, § 68(b), which limited the
zoning provisions in subsection (b) of this
section to nonprofit entities, is deleted as
unnecessary in light of the definition of
"private group home", which excludes profitmaking
entities.

10-519. APPLICATION FOR LICENSES.

(A)  IN GENERAL.

AN APPLICANT FOR A LICENSE SHALL SUBMIT AN APPLICATION
TO THE SECRETARY ON THE FORM THAT THE SECRETARY REQUIRES.

(B)  CONTENTS.

THE APPLICATION SHALL:

(1)  BE SIGNED AND VERIFIED BY THE APPLICANT; AND

(2)  CONTAIN:

(I)  THE NAME AND ADDRESS OF THE APPLICANT;

(II)  THE STREET ADDRESS OF THE PROPERTY ON
WHICH THE PRIVATE GROUP HOME IS TO BE LOCATED OR, IF IT HAS
NO STREET ADDRESS, A DESCRIPTION THAT IDENTIFIES THE
PROPERTY;

(III)  IF THE APPLICANT DOES NOT OWN THE
PROPERTY, THE NAME OF THE OWNER;

(IV)  A STATEMENT THAT THE APPLICANT WILL
COMPLY WITH THE LAWS, RULES, AND REGULATIONS THAT RELATE TO
ESTABLISHING AND OPERATING THE PRIVATE GROUP HOME;
