VETOES

(B)  THE COMMITTEE SHALL:

(1)  MEET AT LEAST QUARTERLY DURING EACH YEAR;

(2)  DEVELOP AND ANNUALLY UPDATE A PLAN FOR
PROVIDING COORDINATED HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES TO ELDERLY
PERSONS IN THIS STATE REFLECTING CONSISTENT WITH THE
PRIORITIES ESTABLISHED BY THE OFFICE ON AGING.

(3)  ESTABLISH APPROPRIATE INTERAGENCY AGREEMENTS
AND PROMULGATE NECESSARY RULES AND REGULATIONS TO:

(I)  IMPLEMENT AND COORDINATE AGING
SERVICES CONSISTENT WITH THE INTERAGENCY COMMITTEE PLAN;

(II)  PROVIDE FOR THE SHARING OF AGENCY
RESOURCES; AND

(III)  CONSOLIDATE PLANNING AND EVALUATION
EFFORTS AT THE STATE AND LOCAL LEVEL; AND

(4)  ANNUALLY ON OR BEFORE A DATE SET BY THE
GOVERNOR, DEVELOP AND PRESENT TO THE GOVERNOR AND THE
GENERAL ASSEMBLY A CONSOLIDATED OPERATING BUDGET FOR AGING
SERVICES THAT:

(I)  SETS FORTH THE RELEVANT PORTIONS OF
THE OPERATING BUDGET OF ANY AGENCY RESPONSIBLE FOR AGING
SERVICES; AND

(II)  IS CONSISTENT WITH THE INTERAGENCY
COMMITTEE PLAN FOR PROVIDING COORDINATED HEALTH AND SOCIAL
SERVICES TO ELDERLY PERSONS IN THIS STATE.

(C) IN THE EVENT THE MEMBERS OF THE INTERAGENCY
COMMITTEE SHOULD FAIL TO AGREE ON A PLAN FOR SERVICES TO
ELDERLY PERSONS, THE CHAIRMAN OF THE COMMITTEE SHALL REFER
THE MATTER TO THE GOVERNOR FOR RESOLUTION.

4D.

PRIOR TO EACH LEGISLATIVE SESSION, THE INTERAGENCY
COMMITTEE ON AGING SERVICES SHALL PRESENT A REPORT TO THE

GENERAL ASSEMBLY ON THE ......ANNUAL AGING SERVICES PLAN, THE

ACTIVITIES OF THE COMMITTEE, AND THE CURRENT STATUS OF AGING
SERVICES IN THIS STATE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1982.
