AN ACT concerning

Pensions - Service Retirement Allowance

FOR the purpose of providing that certain former members of
the State retirement systems may receive service
retirement allowances as of a certain date following
receipt of written applications; and making technical
corrections.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
read(s) as follows:

Article 73B - Pensions

11.

(1) (a) (I) Any member may retire upon written
application to the board of trustees setting forth at what
time he desires to be retired, provided that such member at
the time so specified for his retirement shall have attained
the age of sixty (60) or shall have rendered twenty-five
(25) years of creditable service as an employee and
notwithstanding that during such period of notification he
may have separated from service.

(II) A FORMER MEMBER WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR A
SERVICE RETIREMENT ALLOWANCE AT THE TIME SERVICE IS
