SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section(s) 8A-1802 of Article - Real
Property, of the Annotated Code of Maryland be renumbered to
be Section(s) 8A-1803.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That section(s)
of the Annotated Code of Maryland read(s) as follows:

8A-1802.

THE DIVISION OF CONSUMER PROTECTION OF THE OFFICE OF
THE ATTORNEY GENERAL SHALL ENFORCE THIS TITLE.

(A) TO THE EXTENT THAT A VIOLATION OF ANY PROVISION OF
THIS TITLE AFFECTS A RESIDENT OR PROSPECTIVE RESIDENT, THAT
VIOLATION SHALL BE WITHIN THE SCOPE OF THE ENFORCEMENT
DUTIES AND POWERS OF THE DIVISION OF CONSUMER PROTECTION OF
THE OFFICE OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL, AS DESCRIBED IN TITLE 13
OF THE COMMERCIAL LAW ARTICLE.

(B) THE PROVISIONS OF THIS TITLE SHALL OTHERWISE BE
ENFORCED BY EACH AGENCY OF THE STATE WITHIN THE SCOPE OF ITS
AUTHORITY.

SECTION 3, AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1982.

Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill 344.

This bill, provides that certain violations of the
Mobile Home Parks title are within the scope of the
enforcement duties and powers of the Consumer Protection
Division of the Office of the Attorney General.
