Chapter 910 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland of 1978, as amended by Chapter 466 of
the Acts of the General Assembly of 1979, Chapter
270 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1980,
and Chapter 513 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of 1981 Section 1 (1)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That chapter(s) of the Acts of the General
Assembly read(s) as follows:

Chapter 910 of the Acts of 1978, as amended by

Chapter 466 of the Acts of 1979, by Chapter

270 of the Acts of 1980, and by Chapter

513 of the Acts of 1981

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That chapter(s) of the Acts of the General
Assembly be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as

follows:

Chapter 910 of the Acts of 1978 as amended
by Chapter 466 of the Acts of 1979 and by
Chapter 270 of the Acts of 1980

AN ACT concerning

Creation of a State Debt - Elderly Citizens Activities

Centers Improvements Loan

FOR the purpose of authorizing the creation of a State Debt
in the amount of [$2,600,000] $3,600,000, the proceeds
to be used for State grants to local governmental
agencies to convert surplus public school buildings and
other public buildings or parts thereof to Elderly
Citizen Activities Centers and to equip the converted
centers to serve the needs of elderly citizens;
stipulating that included among other public buildings
are armories and any public building which may be
either entirely or partially available for conversion;
and providing generally for the issue and sale of bonds
evidencing the loan.

Preamble

WHEREAS, The General Assembly takes note of the fact
that certain public school buildings and other public
buildings have become excess to the needs of federal, state,
and local governments, and there is a requirement for
facilities to serve the needs of elderly citizens and;
