Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed Senate Bill 343.

This bill extends the termination provisions for
certain health boards in accordance with the provisions of
the Regulatory Programs Act.

House Bill 504, which was passed by the General
Assembly and signed by me on June 1, 1982, accomplishes the
same purpose. Therefore it is not necessary for me to sign
Senate Bill 343.

Senate Bill No. 363

AN ACT concerning

Baltimore City - Circuit Court - Pensions

FOR the purpose of providing that certain employees of the
Circuit Court for Baltimore City may transfer into the
State Employees' Retirement System or elect, to remain
in the Baltimore City Employees Retirement System or
join the Pension System for State Employees; providing
for the payment of certain contributions; and providing
for the effective date of this Act.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings

Section 2-5A-01 and 2-5A-06

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1980 Replacement Volume and 1981 Supplement)

(As enacted by Chapter 526 of the Acts

of the General Assembly of 1980, as amended)
