SHALL REAPPLY FOR AN ORDER EVERY 6 MONTHS WHILE INPATIENT
CARE CONTINUES.

(C) COMMITMENTS UNDER PARTS IV OR V.

(1)  IF, 6 MONTHS AFTER COMMITMENT OF AN
INDIVIDUAL UNDER PART IV OR V OF THIS SUBTITLE, THE
INDIVIDUAL STILL IS RECEIVING INPATIENT CARE, THE
ADMINISTRATION SHALL:

(I)  REVIEW THE PROGRESS OF THE INDIVIDUAL;

(II)  DETERMINE WHETHER THE INDIVIDUAL IS
REHABILITATED; AND

(III)  REPORT TO THE COURT THAT ORDERED THE
COMMITMENT WHETHER THE INPATIENT CARE SHOULD BE CONTINUED.

(2)  AFTER REVIEWING THE REPORT OF THE
ADMINISTRATION, THE COURT MAY:

CONTINUED; OR

(I) ORDER THE INPATIENT CARE TO BE

(II) TERMINATE THE COMMITMENT.

(3) IF AN ORDER TO CONTINUE INPATIENT CARE IS
ISSUED, THE ADMINISTRATION SHALL REAPPLY FOR AN ORDER EVERY
6 MONTHS WHILE INPATIENT CARE CONTINUES.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsection (a) of this section is new
language that combines, without substantive
change, the second sentence of former Article
43B, § 9(n)(2) and the first clause of the second
sentence of § 12(c). It is revised to apply to
all commitments under this subtitle. See
revisor's note to § 9-601 of this subtitle.

Subsection (b) of this section is new language
derived without substantive change from the third
and fourth sentences of former Article 43B, §
9(n)(2).

Subsection (c) of this section is new language
derived without substantive change from the
third, fourth, and fifth sentences of former
Article 43B, § 12(c) and revised to apply to
commitments under former Article 43B, §§ 12 and
13 -- now Parts IV and V of this subtitle. See
revisor's note to § 9-601 of this subtitle.

Subsection (c) of this section is revised to
clarify that its provisions relate to review of
inpatient care. The third and fifth sentences of
former Article 43B, § 12(c) referred to advice on
