LAWS OF MARYLAND

Ch. 905

4-504.

(A)      A copy of any order shall be served upon all
parties to the proceedings, and the appropriate law
enforcement agency.

(B)      The judge who issues the order: may direct
immediate service AND MAY REISSUE THE ORDER UNTIL SERVICE IS
COMPLETE.

(C) RETURN OF SERVICE SHALL BE FILED WITH THE COURT BY
THE APPROPRIATE LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY.

(1) MAY:

(I) DIRECT IMMEDIATE SERVICE; AND

(II) REISSUE THE ORDER UNTIL SERVICE IS
EFFECTED; BUT

(2) MAY NOT REISSUE THE ORDER MORE THAN 15 DAYS
FROM THE DATE OF THE INITIAL APPEARANCE OF THE PETITIONER.

(C) RETURN OF SERVICE SHALL BE FILED WITH THE COURT.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1982.

(House Bill 1874)

AN ACT concerning

Clerks of Court - Fees

FOR the purpose of altering the amount of certain fees
collected by clerks of the court; providing that clerks
shall retain a certain commission on certain fines and
forfeitures; providing for a certain disbursement of
fees collected by the clerk for performing a marriage
ceremony; repealing certain special provisions relating
to certain clerks' fees collected in certain counties;
providing for the disbursement of certain fees charged
for obtaining a marriage license; providing for a
certain minimum fee for recording certain deeds and
instruments; clarifying language; and generally
relating to fees collected by clerks of courts.
