(ii) Pledge its assets to secure the debt;

(5)  Rent its vaults or safe-deposit boxes and,
in accordance with the rental agreement, permit deposits of
property;

(6)   Subject to § 5-503 of this article, buy,
hold, and convey real property;

(7)  Subject to § 4-604 of this title, act as
trustee under:

(i) The federal Self-Employed Individuals
Tax Retirement Act of 1962; or

(ii) The federal Employee Retirement
Income Security Act of 1974; [and]

(8)  WITH THE PRIOR APPROVAL OF THE COMMISSIONER,
EXERCISE THE POWERS GRANTED UNDER § 3-207 OF THIS ARTICLE TO
A TRUST COMPANY; AND

[(8)] (9) Exercise all of the powers usual in
carrying on a business of savings banking.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1982.

AN ACT concerning

Domestic Violence - Ex Parte Order

FOR the purpose of clarifying the effective date of an ex
parte order that the court may grant requiring certain
persons to vacate a family home giving temporary
possession of family home to certain other persons for
a certain period of time; providing for the reissuance
of the order until service is complete; effected;
prohibiting the reissuance of an order after a certain
date; requiring the appropriate law enforcement agency
to file return of service to be filed with the court;
and generally relating to ex parte orders issued by
courts due to domestic violence.
