SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
read(s) as follows:

Article 89 - Division of Labor and Industry

49B.

(O) (1) ANY NEW BUILDING CONSTRUCTED AFTER JULY 1,
1985, IN WHICH AT LEAST ONE ELEVATOR IS PLANNED, SHALL HAVE
AN A PASSENGER ELEVATOR THAT CAN ACCOMMODATE A HORIZONTALLY
CARRIED AND POSITIONED 6 FOOT 8 INCH RESCUE LITTER.

(2) THIS SUBSECTION DOES NOT APPLY TO ONE OR TWO
FAMILY DWELLINGS OR TO BUILDINGS UNDER 3 STORIES.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1985.

AN ACT concerning

Property Taxes - Credits for Homeowners and Renters

FOR the purpose of altering the amount of the maximum tax
credit allowed under a certain homeowner's homeowners'
property tax credit program; and changing the formula
for comparing property taxes and income under the
Homeowners' and Renters' Property Tax Credit Program;
and providing a delayed effective date that the changes
shall be effective for certain taxable years.
