VIOLATION, adjudicated delinquent, in need of supervision,
or in need of assistance. However, the court may expunge a
delinquent adjudication from the child's record and enter it
as a finding in the adult's case.

(c) An adult convicted under this section is subject
to a fine of not more than $500 or imprisonment for not more
than two years, or both. The court may suspend sentence and
place the adult on probation subject to the terms and
conditions it deems to be in the best interests of the child
and the public.

3-835.

(A)  A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER AUTHORIZED TO MAKE
ARRESTS SHALL ISSUE A CITATION TO A CHILD IF THE OFFICER HAS
PROBABLE CAUSE TO BELIEVE THAT THE CHILD IS VIOLATING:

(1)  ARTICLE 27, §§ 400, 400A, 401, 402, OR 403
OF THE CODE; OR

(2)   § 26-103 OF THE EDUCATION ARTICLE.

(B)  A CITATION ISSUED UNDER THIS SECTION SHALL BE
PRINTED BY THE MOTOR VEHICLE ADMINISTRATION AND SIGNED BY
THE ISSUING OFFICER AND SHALL CONTAIN:

(1)  THE NAME, ADDRESS, AND BIRTH DATE OF THE
CHILD BEING CHARGED WITH THE VIOLATION;

(2)  THE NAME AND ADDRESS OF THE CHILD'S PARENT
OR LEGAL GUARDIAN;

(3)  THE STATUTE ALLEGEDLY VIOLATED;

(4)  THE TIME, PLACE, AND DATE OF THE VIOLATION;

(5)  THE DRIVER'S LICENSE NUMBER OF THE CHILD, IF
THE CHILD POSSESSES A DRIVER'S LICENSE;

(6)  THE REGISTRATION NUMBER OF THE MOTOR
VEHICLE, MOTORCYCLE, OR OTHER VEHICLE, IF APPLICABLE;

(7) NOTICE TO THE CHILD AND HIS PARENT OR LEGAL
GUARDIAN TO APPEAR IN COURT ON THE DATE AND TIME SPECIFIED
IN THE CITATION;

(8) (7) THE SIGNATURE OF THE CHILD; AND

(9) (8) THE PENALTIES WHICH MAY BE IMPOSED UNDER
§ 3-820 OF THE COURTS ARTICLE.

(C)  A COPY OF THE CITATION ISSUED UNDER THIS SECTION
SHALL BE:
