[(4)] (6) Within the same 45-day period, the
hearing officer or the hearing board shall review the
request and make a decision.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1982.

AN ACT concerning
Community Action Agencies
FOR the purpose of establishing a system of community action
agencies designed to evaluate, mobilize, coordinate,
and supervise community efforts to combat the causes
and problems of poverty in Maryland; authorizing the
governing body with jurisdiction over a certain
community to create, change, or revoke the status of a
community action agency after a public hearing;
establishing a community action board and subsidiary
agencies to supervise and administer community action
agency projects and programs; providing for certain
sources of and methods for the receipt of financial
assistance by community action agencies; specifying the
powers and duties of a community action agency;
providing that the rights, duties, and obligations of
community action agencies so designated by the Economic
Opportunity Act of 1964 as amended by the Community
Services Block Grant Program are not impaired by this
Act; and generally relating to the purpose, creation,
organization, and responsibility of community action
agencies.
