the safety of an elected State official; OR (8) TO PROTECT
THE SAFETY OF THE PUBLIC AND PROPERTY.
(d) The term "incorporated municipality" as used in
subsection (b) of this section shall mean the territory
within the limits of an incorporated city or town within any
county of this State or of Baltimore City. However, this
term shall not be construed to include any other territory
within the limits of any county.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1982.

AN ACT concerning
Workmen's Compensation --Professional Sports Injuries
FOR the purpose of including certain injuries to
professional athletes as compensable injuries under
Workmen's Compensation providing that a sudden injury
to a player employee which was not intended by the
player employee and which arises out of and in the
course of employment with a professional sports team
domiciled in this State shall be compensable under
certain conditions.
FOR the purpose of providing that compensation under the
Workmen's Compensation law may not be denied because of
the degree of risk associated with the employment.
