FOR ANY EMPLOYEE WHO RECEIVES PRIOR SERVICE CREDIT UNDER
THIS SUBSECTION FOR SERVICE PERFORMED BETWEEN JANUARY 1,
1972 AND JULY 1, 1975 THE COUNTY OR BALTIMORE CITY IN WHICH
THE MEMBER IS EMPLOYED SHALL PAY INTO THE RETIREMENT SYSTEM
AN AMOUNT EQUAL TO THE RESERVES REQUIRED TO FUND THE PRIOR
SERVICE. CREDIT FOR SERVICE PERFORMED BY AN EMPLOYEE WITH A
COUNTY OR BALTIMORE CITY BETWEEN JANUARY 1, 1972 AND JULY 1,
1975 MAY BE GRANTED, IF THE MEMBER FILES AN APPLICATION FOR
THIS CREDIT AT ANY TIME PRIOR TO RETIREMENT AND DEPOSITS
WITH THE SYSTEM THE AMOUNT OF CONTRIBUTIONS REQUIRED FOR
THIS CREDIT, WITH INTEREST TO THE DATE OF DEPOSIT. THE RATE
OF THE CONTRIBUTIONS IS THAT RATE WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN
APPLICABLE TO THE MEMBER IF THAT PERSON HAD BEEN A MEMBER OF
THE SYSTEM FOR THE PERIOD OF THE CREDIT.
THE BALANCE OF THE CONTRIBUTIONS WITH INTEREST WHICH
THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES DETERMINES IS DUE TO FUND ALL THE
RESERVES REQUIRED FOR SUCH MEMBER'S SERVICE SHALL BE PAID BY
THE COUNTY OR BALTIMORE CITY.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1982.

AN ACT concerning
Dentistry - Term of Licenses - Examination Fees -
Reinstatement of Expired Licenses
FOR the purpose of requiring applicants for certain licenses
to practice dentistry and to practice dental hygiene to
pay an examination fee to certain organizations;
allowing the State Board of Dental Examiners and
certain examining bodies to set this examination fee in
a certain amount; altering the terms of general
licenses to practice dentistry and to practice dental
hygiene; and allowing the State Board of Dental
Examiners to adopt rules and regulations to govern the
reinstatement of certain licenses to practice dentistry
or to practice dental hygiene; and providing for the
continuation of certain provisions governing renewal
and reinstatement of licenses.
BY repealing and reenacting, without amendments,
