SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
read(s) as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

159.

(h) Members of the several boards shall receive
compensation as follows:

(7) Worcester County--[$2,500 per annum, with a
mileage fee when in attendance upon meetings as specified by
the county commissioners in the annual budget] THE WORCESTER
COUNTY LIQUOR CONTROL BOARD SHALL RECEIVE THE SALARY SET BY
THE WORCESTER COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, BUT WHICH MAY NOT BE
LESS THAN $2,500, AND A MILEAGE FEE WHEN ATTENDING MEETINGS
OF THE BOARD.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That any salary
increase after July 1, 1982, made pursuant to the power
vested in the Worcester County Liquor Control Board by this
Act may not apply to the chairman and board members in
office on the date on which the salary increase took effect
but shall take effect at the beginning of the next following
term of office.

SECTION 2 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1982.
