AN ACT concerning
Kent County - Alcoholic Beverages - Inspectors
FOR the purpose of altering certain provisions in Kent
County concerning the appointment, compensation,
expenses, powers, and duties of the Kent County
alcoholic beverages inspectors; repealing certain
provisions requiring bonding of the inspectors;
providing for the qualifications, the number of, and
employment status of the inspectors hired; providing
the grounds for discharge of an inspector; establishing
a discharge hearing and a hearing procedure; restating
certain provisions requiring an inspector's oath of
office; generally relating to the employment,
compensation, discharge, powers, and duties of Kent
County alcoholic beverages inspectors; and clarifying
language.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
read(s) as follows:
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
158.
(h) (1) In Kent County, notwithstanding §§ 69 and 70
of this article, the board of license commissioners shall
have the power to suspend any alcoholic beverage license for
any violation of this article for not less than 15 nor more
than 90 days. An appeal [shall] DOES not stay the order of
the board suspending a license. The board shall hear and
determine cases within [thirty] 30 days of report of
violation by [liquor] ANY ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES inspector or
other law-enforcement officer.
